CLEAN is a disk utility program that allows you to globally select and
selectively delete groups of files or specific files the author has found to
be commonly described as temporary files. As distributed, the program will
select files with filemasks %PIPE???.???, ????????.$??, ????????.BAK,
????????.TMP, CHKLIST.MS, FILE????.CHK, and FILE????.REC. You will have the
opportunity to add to or delete from this list on each invocation of the
program before any files are selected as candidates for deletion.

As distributed, the program will not allow you to globally select (*.EXE or
????????.EXE as an example) files with the extensions COM, EXE, LIB, DLL,
OBJ, C, H, CPP, INI, ???, *, PAS, or BAS. The experienced user can modify the
CLEAN.INI or CCBCLEAN.INI (depending on whether the setup program detects an
existing application named CLEAN), in the Windows subdirectory to add to or
delete from this list. If modifications are made, the sequential number
sequence in the [NoDelete] section must be maintained.

To install CLEAN, run the program SETUP.EXE from the Program Manager File
Run menu selection. If another application named CLEAN is installed on your
system with a CLEAN.INI file in the Windows directory, SETUP will rename the
installed version of CLEAN to CCBCLEAN to avoid conflict with the previously
installed application named CLEAN.

CLEAN is a Shareware application. You are encouraged to register with the
author. Registration, which is $10.00, entitles you to one update of CLEAN
and a copy of the author's next Shareware application, which will be a
Personal Information Manager for Windows. The next version of CLEAN will
feature more efficient algorithms for searching directories and a menu
selection for maintaining the [NoDelete] section.

To register, mail your $10.00 check to:
