GAME PLAY NOTES, SUGGESTIONS, AND PHILOSOPHICAL MUSINGS
=============================================================================

These missions were designed to push the Red Baron pilot to the limit of
situational awareness. As in real air combat, there are periods of just
flying followed by engagements with the enemy. The missions have been
tuned so that things happen in a particular order and pace.

Time-compress may cause the mission to run at a different pace than which it
was designed. You may find yourself in a disadvantageous position that would
not occur when run under normal time. Most missions run under ten minutes in
uncompressed time. You may use time-compress if you wish, but you have been
forewarned.

With limited attempts, it's important to score at least some points in every
mission. Don't run yourself out of luck by trying to maximize your score on
every mission. Let your wingmen take some of the heat off you. You lose a
lot of scoring potential by getting yourself shot down early in a mission.
If your aircraft is hit badly or you are wounded, try to get out of combat
and at least salvage some points in a mission. No one is going to max out
every mission.

Be sure to print out MISSIONS.TXT, and write notes on it from the mission
briefings. Study your region map before you embark on a mission, and know
your ingress and egress points from combat.

Try to survive, and have fun! Good luck on all your missions.
