README FILE for FLiP(TM) Version 1.5, Auburn Software, Copyright 1993.

File List Printer (FLiP) is a productivity enhancement tool for
programmers, and other computer users, who need to batch print multiple
files in a well formatted, space efficient, manner. It can print ASCII
text files, binary files and image files (in several popular formats).
It will print up to 4 "pages" on a paper sheet, allows users to add
borders, headers, footers and control numerous aspects of output
formatting. To start using FLiP, simply launch the FLiP executable
(flip.exe) from within Windows.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS - FLiP is designed to run under Windows 3.1.
Minimum hardware requirements are an 80x86 compatible processor; a
printer capable of graphics output; and 2MB of RAM (4MB if you want to
print image files). It is recommended you run FLiP from your hard drive
and use a mouse.

USER'S MANUAL - A User's Manual for FLiP is provided in the file
"flip.txt". To print the manual simply use the MS-DOS print command
(print flip.txt). You can also print it from within FLiP (it will save
paper). It is recommended you use landscape orientation, 2 pages per
sheet, TrueType Courier font, wrap long lines, and use formfeeds.

REGISTERING - FLiP is a Shareware product. You may use it on a trial
basis for up to 30 days. If you find it useful, and continue to use it,
you must register your copy of the program. A registration form is
provided in the file "register.txt". The registration fee is $20. You
may also register the program on Compuserver (GO SWREG, Reg. ID = 984).

ENHANCEMENTS - Version 1.5 adds the capability to print image files.
Windows bitmaps (.BMP files), cursor resource files (.CUR), icon
resource files (.ICO), and run-length encoded bitmaps (.RLE files) are
supported. You can also print images in the popular GIF, PCX, and
MacPaint formats. Each image is printed on a single logical page with
the user able to control sizing and the mapping of image colors to
bi-level printer output. As noted above, a minimum of 4MB of RAM is
recommended if you intend to print image files.

This version also corrects several deficiencies in Version 1.0:
	- corrected bug in initialization which prevented FLiP from
running properly under the Windows 3.1 Debugging Kernel
	- corrected bug which sorted tab stop settings >= 10" in the
wrong order in the setup dialog. Also, it is no longer
possible to enter a negative tap stop value.
	- added the ability to set the desired lines per page to the
		Page Setup Dialog.
	- improved handling for error conditions during printing.
	- fixed bug which caused an error dialog to display when
cancelling a print job even though no error occurred.
	- fixed bug which prevented changes to the default printer settings
		from being saved.
	- fixed bug which caused the system to use the default printer setting
even if a different printer had been selected in the Print
		Selection Dialog.
	- corrected a bug which caused the system to print an infinite number
of blank pages at the end of a file whose last character
		was a FormFeed.
