WELCOME TO THE VIRTUAL CITY! To start, type CITY10 at the DOS prompt.

Use the mouse to get around in the cityscape, by left-clicking with the cursor
in the proper box in the border. Right-clicking will double the speed of the
action.

In the city, there are four areas to visit, and they are indicated by the
pulsating doors. Colliding with the doors will take you into the new
environment.

The brown building on the right of your initial position is an abstract
space. Try colliding with objects, "shooting" at them (by left-clicking
with the cursor in the view window - some of them will change appearance.
Colliding with the sphere will take you back out to the city.

The dark-red brick-colored building has a stairway and an elevator. To use
the elevator, right-click with the cursor over one of the arrows. There is
a similar control panel inside the elevator. The upper floor has a yellow
door in front of the elevator that leads into an apartment. Examine the
computer monitor and the TV closely - don't be afraid to collide with them.
You may find yourself in other worlds!

The green building in the city is the embarcation point to a network of
interconnected areas, all based on the artwork of M.C. Escher. Again,
colliding with the door panels (and sometimes certain other objects) will
transport you to other areas. There is a doorway in the "ceiling" of the
House of Stairs (your original entry point in this world) which, when
collided, will transport you back to the city.

The manor house on the hill at the edge of the city can be entered as well,
although several doors are locked, so you can't go inside (yet)... Perhaps
in the next release.

If you get stuck, or end up in some weird space "outside" of where I intended
you to be, you can hit the ESCAPE key and the world will reset. When you are
finished with your explorations, SHIFT-ESCAPE quits the program.
