This 'FLASH Screen Saver' program is copyrighted to Bob Brinkoetter, 1994.

If you use the program,  please pay for your copy by sending the $10 
registration fee, along with your name and mailing address to:

If you prefer, you may conveniently register your copy of this program 
through Compuserve. Type  GO SWREG  at the Compuserve prompt. This program
is Registration I.D. 2285, the VLSI Flash Screen Saver. The registration
fee is charged directly to your Compuserve member account, and VLSI is 
electronically advised of your registration information.  

Registered owners have the opportunity to receive additional bitmaps,
product enhancements and updates. Ask about the VLSI video clip service.
We will create bitmaps for you from your video tapes. Great for displaying
your favorite video shots, as a screen saver on your PC.

Sale or distribution of the software requires prior written 
permission from the author.


Installation & Setup:
---------------------
Installation of FLASH Screen Saver software is accomplished as follows:

	1) Make a new directory  -  C:\FLASH

	2) Unzip the  FLASH.ZIP  file,  using a  pkunzip.exe  
		utility program, to the  new  C:\FLASH  directory.
		
	3) For convenience, copy the  .bmp files you expect to use 
		often to the new C:\FLASH directory. This step is optional.

	4) Copy the FLASH.SCR program from the C:\FLASH  to  C:\windows.
		Copy the FLASH.HLP file from the C:\FLASH to C:\windows.

	5) Select the Windows Main Group in Program Manager
		Select the Control Panel Icon
	   	Select the Desktop Icon
		Select the "F L A S H" Screen Saver program 
		Select the Setup button
		Select the options and bit mapped files you want
		Select the OK button
		Set  delay to the number of seconds to wait
		Select the Test button
		Click the mouse or depress any key - to stop
		Click OK to exit back to Windows Program Manager
	       	The FLASH Screen Saver program will now auto start
		
	6)  For a network installation, follow the above instructions. 
		However, you will  want to specify a shared disk
		drive directory for the location of the .bmp files.
		The selected files may reside on any combination of
		servers, drives, directories.

	7)  NOTE: the initial sequence of the files available for 
		selection is controlled by the "view" settings you have 
		 in your windows file manager.


Files Needed
------------
	FLASH.zip  -  Master distribution file containing all other files. This file is
			in PKZIP (packed) format.

	FLASH.set  -  Owners data and stored setting preferences - created
			the first time you run the flash.scr program.

	FLASH.scr  -  The Screen Saver software executable program
			Copy to C:\windows directory

	FLASH.hlp  - Executable help file

	vbrun300.dll  -  Microsoft Dynamic Link Library. VLSI does not
			 automatically distribute this with the product.
			 It is readily available on Compuserve and many
			 network or BBS download library's. 

	threed.vbx -  graphic object file

	spin.vbx   -  control object file

	readme.txt -  this file containing initial product information
