PRODUCT SUMMARY:

Spectrum-File v1.1 is a File Maintenance program for Windows version 3.X.
It has been designed to eliminate the drudgery of using the Windows File
Manager. When executed it presents the user with two sets of Disk,
Directory, and File list boxes (Source/Destination). Files are selected
and acted upon by using the mouse. A Toolbar provides the user with quick
access to commands without having to navigate the menu system. In addition
to standard file maintenance commands, Spectrum-File allows 4 applications
to be launched from single toolbar buttons. These files are: Notepad, Paint,
SysEdit, and a fourth user-defined button. Spectrum file will pass selected
files as command parameters to these utilities, or if so selected, it will
prompt users for command-line parameters. By adjusting the paths and
file names in preferences, it is possible to replace each of these programs
with user specified programs. (i.e.- Replace Notepad with Write or Word.)

Ease of Use:
------------
Spectrum-File is extremely intuitive. The toolbar is quickly mastered by
setting a preferences option called: HelpLine. When activated Helpline will
provide a brief description of buttons and work areas based on the real-time
location of the mouse. If more detailed help is required, Spectrum-File
provides full context-sensitive Help by pressing F1. This standard Windows
help file is also available through the menu bar.

Other Features:
---------------
The preferences dialog, allows the user to customize Spectrum-File to his or
her own needs. In addition to specifying the utility programs available from
the toolbar, preferences allows the user to specify what files will be
displayed based on their attributes (Archive,Hidden,Read Only,System.) Also,
preferences gives the user the ability to disable "Are you Sure?" prompting,
HelpLine, and command parameter passing dialog boxes.

Registration:
-------------
Spectrum-File is 100% intact and is not disabled in any way. A un-registered
user is presented with a 10 second reminder screens at the beginning and end
of the programs execution. These screens can be disabled through entering
the user's name and registration code.
