Have a guess what! Toolbox is finally finished. Hard to
believe...isn't it! But it is. It's finished! And it even exceeds my wildest
dreams. What can I say? Well...I wrote the program...and even I'm impressed!
But enough about Toolbox. This is about Icon Palette. You'll have to read
Toolbox.txt (the press release) if you want to know more.

This is my nostalgic version of Icon Palette. Version 2.2!
I had intended Toolbox to supersede Icon Palette but somehow I couldn't let
Icon Palette rest at v2.1a. There were still improvements to make! Things to
be done! And besides...it was my first windows program. Maybe I'll continue
to develope it? Freeware of course. For good luck! For now this is it! The
final version in the 2.x series.

Icon Palette v2.2 gives a final polish to the interface. It
adds two new toolbars. One across the top of the main window and one down the
left side. The toolbar across the top displays the date in long hand, and five
system buttons giving you access to a DOS window, run dialog box, autoload
group and restart / exit windows functions. The toolbar down the left side has
six user configurable drag and drop iconblox.

The system bar along the bottom of the main window now
displays the time as well as free memory and free system resources. The popup
toolbar now functions as a group with 9 user configurable buttons and is
accessed by double clicking the left mouse button anywhere on the background.

There have been some not so obvious changes too. If you double
click on the windows desktop when Icon Palette is already running on screen,
but covered by other windows, it will be brought to the top. Double clicking
the left mouse button on any dialog box title bar will close the dialog box.
And lastly all dialog boxes default to centre screen no matter what the screen
resolution.

Well that's it! I hope you enjoy this...the final 2.x series
version. If you find Icon Palette useful it's yours...with my compliments!

							Enjoy!

							Jeff.
