INTRODUCTION:

Mirage Graphics is pleased to announce EyeBrowse, the only complete graphical
image management system for 3D Studio R3/4. Using handy file folder ICONS,
you can select local and network disk, and CD ROM, libraries, and view up to
30 pictures at a time using the virtual images window. When you select an
image folder for the first time, EyeBrowse will immediately build thumbnails
(small images) of the folder's contents. Once created, the thumbnails provide
quick access to VIEW, MOVE, CONVERT FORMATS, RESIZE, PRINT, ATTACH NOTES TO,
and FIND (using keywords) the images you need, and the features do not end
there. EyeBrowse requires 3D Studio R3/4 and a display of at least 800 x 600
with 256 colors. It is highly recommended, however, that Hi-Color or True
Color display adapters be used.

SHAREWARE DEMO VERSION:

This is the new shareware demo version of EYEBROWSE and it is freely
distributable in its original and entire form. The demo version restricts
viewing to 30 images at a time. It also restricts the FIND, CONVERT/MOVE,
and PRINT screens to viewing only. The demo version, has however, been
unlocked for complete, unrestricted use with the World Creating Toolkit
CD-ROM that comes with 3D Studio.

COST:

The registered version of EYEBROWSE is priced at $99.95 and is available from
Digimation by calling 800-854-4496 or 504-785-3969.

INSTALLATION:

Type 'INSTALL [drive]:[3D Studio home directory]'. For example, if your
copy of 3D Studio is in the directory c:\3ds3, type INSTALL C:\3DS3.

QUICK START:

EYEBROWSE is a universal IPAS, which means that it can be called from
anywhere within 3D Studio. Access the PROGRAM menu from the top of any
3D Studio module screen. An entry for Eyebrowse will appear in the program
menu along with its assigned function key. Select Eyebrowse from the program
menu or press its function key to start EYEBROWSE. EYEBROWSE has complete
online help which describes how to use all of its features. To get help
on any object on the EYEBROWSE screen, right click the mouse on that object.

EYEBROWSE CONFIGURATION:

Eyebrowse uses a configuration file named IBROW.SET that is located in the
PROCESS\IBROW directory. This configuration file is designed for users
that wish to customize Eyebrowse's operation to their needs. A sample
IBROW.SET file has automatically been installed for you. There are three
commands that can be given to Eyebrowse from the SET file.

They are:

ARCHIVE_PATH - Archive path tells Eyebrowse where to store all of its
archived thumbnails. Archived thumbnails are created for non-writable
media such as CD-ROMS and any drive that is forced to archive with the
FORCE_ARCHIVE command below. For example, using ARCHIVE_PATH you can create
thumbnails on a network file-server that will be visible to any workstation.
EXAMPLE IBROW.SET line:
ARCHIVE_PATH = G:\IMAGEARC

FORCE_ARCHIVE - Force archive lets you specify a drive letter, and any
thumbnails that Eyebrowse creates for that drive will be archived in
the archive path. For example, if you have an removable optical drive F:,
using FORCE_ARCHIVE = F:, all image thumbnails would be created on your
archive path rather than on the optical drive. You can then search through
the thumbnails in your archive path, even though the optical cartridge with
the original images isn't currently on your system. Use multiple
FORCE_ARCHIVE commands to set multiple drives.
EXAMPLE IBROW.SET line:
FORCE_ARCHIVE = F:
FORCE_ARCHIVE = G:

MOUSE_SPEED - This command is only needed if you are using a mouse speed
other than the 3D Studio default of 2, AND, if you are using a 3D Studio
set file other than 3DS.SET. Set this value to whatever your mouse speed
is in your 3D Studio set file.
EXAMPLE IBROW.SET line:
MOUSE_SPEED = 1
