Hints for installation of XperCASE V3.5 under Windows 3.0:
==========================================================

Problem 1 (System Error Message "XPER-FTL.DLL not found"
========= during workstation installation when installing
	   an XperCASE network version):

Due to a system restriction of Windows 3.0 (which doesn't exist
anylonger under Windows 3.1) it may be possible that problems
occur during the workstation installation if the installation
directory located on the file server is used with an UNC-name
(\\server\share) instead of a logical drive letter.

Effect: A system error message "XPER-FTL.DLL not found. Please
insert disk in drive A:" occurs during workstation
installation. This error message occurs for each
XperCASE component that is installed by the setup program.
Furthermore it is not possible to start the installed
program from the server. The same error message will occur.

Resolution: Answer the system error message during installation
by pressing the cancel button. The installation process
will continue but some entries to the file WIN.INI
	    will not be made.

To make these entries and also to run the application
you have to make the file XPER-FTL.DLL available to
Windows 3.0 by copying this file to your local Windows
directory. Then you have to start each installed
XperCASE component and close it again. The missing
entries to the file WIN.INI will be made automatically.

Problem 2 (System Error Message "XPER-FTL.DLL not found"
========= when trying to start an XperCASE component):

Due to a system restriction of Windows 3.0 (which doesn't exist
anylonger under Windows 3.1) it may be possible that problems
occur during the start of an XperCASE component when there is
no path to the installation directory.

Effect: A system error message "XPER-FTL.DLL not found. Please
insert disk in drive A:" occurs when starting an
	XperCASE component.

Resolution: You have to make the file XPER-FTL.DLL available to
Windows 3.0 by setting the PATH variable to the
XperCASE installation directory or by copying this
file to your local Windows directory.
